The countdown to this year’s hotly anticipated Jazz Weekend is well and truly on! At Barry’s of Douglas we are busy getting ready to welcome a multitude of talent to our stage from Friday October 28th, right through to the evening of Monday 31st. We are excited to welcome you back for food, drinks and fun times for the 2022 Jazz Weekend.

Where would we be without The Roaring 40s? Fine purveyors of Swing, Jazz, Jump Jive and Rock ‘n’ Roll. The Roaring 40s perform in Barry’s on Friday, Saturday & Sunday at 6pm, and close the weekend’s festivities on bank holiday Monday.

Completing Friday’s line-up is The Pat Fitz Band, live from 9.30pm, who are always guaranteed to make the night one to remember. Saturday night sees the return of The Aristocrats at 10pm, a band whose energy has kept the dance floor filled on countless nights at Barry’s!

On Sunday we have music all day, starting with The Paul Dunlea Quartet at 3pm, bringing you the best in Orchestral Jazz for the afternoon, before The Roaring 40s return to the stage at 6pm. Stevie G takes to the decks for his set at 8pm bringing with him the music that Cork clubbers grew up on. At 10pm Stevie hands over to The Cosmic Funk Band, who perform their extravaganza of funk, soul & disco, keeping the jazz vibes flowing ‘til closing time.

Monday’s entertainment starts at 1.30pm with The Paul Dunlea Quartet, followed by Melissa Scott & The Niall Marron Trio at 4pm. Finally, we bid adieu to the Cork Jazz Weekend 2022 with a fitting last gig from The Roaring 40’s at 6.30pm.

The kitchen is open right through the weekend. We are open for Breakfast on Saturday 29th, and our famous Sunday Roast is on the Menu on the 30th

Barry’s is taking lunch and dinner reservations in the Restaurant all weekend for the Jazz Festival, and walk-ins are welcome in the Bar.

Let’s get Jazzing, see you in Douglas!
